Client: Halikos Developments
Northcrest is one of the largest residential land release projects in the history of the Northern Territory. The program will be undertaken in stages over thirteen years. The whole development is underpinned by a Master Plan that is designed to create a diverse, vibrant community that can provide a sense of place for everyone – from young children to retirees – and includes shops, dining, office and commercial space, parkland, community and sports facilities, as well as two primary schools.
Boab was engaged by Halikos to provide the high-profile development with a new name, logo and visual identity that would last the life of the project, and provide flexibility for the multi-faceted development.

At the centre of everything
The logo design resonates the centrality of the location to both Darwin and Palmerston, and the idea of Northcrest as a whole of life, sustainable community. The visual identity was rolled out across marketing collateral, hoarding, print and digital advertising, uniforms and merchandise.

Time to launch
Following on from the success of the logo and visual identity, Boab was engaged to develop a Campaign Strategy for the launch of Northcrest. This strategy has provided a foundation for all communication and marketing campaigns. The strategy was provided as a comprehensive Strategy Guide that is being used for in-house and third parties to ensure consistency across all communications and promotions.
