Client: Northern Territory Airports

Wirraway Business Centre is a purpose-built space accessible from the main airport terminal, catering for all business requirements with a wide range of meeting rooms, day offices and hot desks. The unique location of the centre provides many advantages for both international and domestic travelling professionals, as well as national and local based businesses.

Boab was engaged by Northern Territory Airports to provide the high-profile business centre with a new name, logo and visual identity that would reflect a quiet and peaceful space away from the hustle and bustle of the airport.

Directly linked to aviation history, Wirraway is the name of the military aircraft that were in use from 1939 to 1956 for training and general purposes. Our challenge was to balance the historical origins of the name with the new contemporary fit-out, state of the art facilities and technology. A modern and professional logo and visual identity was developed, with gentle nod to a period in our history. Featured heavily in the visual identity are large bold numbers communicating the capacity of specific booking options, which is balanced well with the technical-style illustrations demonstrating the seating options.

A photoshoot was orchestrated and art directed with Maison Creatives to create a suite of images that compliment the distinctive illustrations that can be used across print and digital platforms.
