BRETT JACOBS
COMPANY DIRECTOR 

Brett’s career spans over 20 years in the design and creative industry, completing his design degree at Melbourne’s RMIT in 2001. Brett founded Boab Design in 2008 and managers all major projects and operations. Most of his role today is that of creative director and project manager, working alongside creative personnel in a hands-on supportive basis.

Brett has developed and managed a broad range of major branding projects including, Tourism Northern Territory, Northern Territory Department of the Chief Minister, Pacific Aluminium, Killarney Homes, Northern Territory Department of Education, Northern Territory Seafood Council, Department of Health, Paul Arnold Photography, Department of Local Government, Housing and Regional Services, Power and Water Corporation, Darwin International Airport, Northern Territory Conventions Bureau, Cheeky Dog NT, National Critical Care and Trauma Centre, Charles Darwin University, National Environment Research Centre, Northern Territory Christian Schools and Tourism Western Australian – Fitzgerald Coast, amongst others.

SALLY JACOBS
BUSINESS DIRECTOR 

Sally is the chief administrator at Boab Design. She spent 15 years as primary school teacher, specialising in reading recovery before she made the transition in 2009 to become Boab Design’s business director and head of account services. She is responsible all the business affairs at Boab Design including compliance, financial matters as well as managing staff relations.

ANNA GOAT
PROJECTS AND BRAND MANAGER

Anna’s passion for branding was sparked during her studies at University College London where she specialised in advertising and media communication. Upon graduation she began her career as a Project Manager, working in award winning, London-based graphic design agencies on a huge variety of branding projects, gaining extensive experience of brand creation and brand management. Clients have included Gordon’s Gin, Bird Eye Walls, Nescafe, Schweppes, Tiger Beer, Sacha Lichine, Berkeley Homes, Perrine Architect, Carbon EMT. Moving to Australia in 2006 she continued her brand management careeer working as a freelance brand consultant in Perth before relocating to Darwin in 2009.

With over 15 years of experience in project management and brand creation Anna brings a wealth of experience from a diverse career background, from working in state government to furniture design. It is this depth of knowledge that enables her to understand the individual requirements of each project and to develop a brand strategy that is as unique as the product.

MIKE FRIER
HEAD OF DESIGN

Mike began his career working as a creative in London-based design, brand and advertising agencies before becoming the first person to complete a Masters degree in Design & Branding Strategy at London’s Brunel University, graduating with distinction in 2002. In the United Kingdom his experience includes names from almost every industry such as Hays PLC, the National Health Service, Herbert Smith LLP, the House of Commons and the Royal Bank of Scotland Group.

Mike joined the Boab team in 2011. Since then he has been responsible for the creative direction and strategic input on many of the studio’s key accounts. He is currently responsible for the creative delivery and brand direction of all Power and Water Corporation, Darwin International Airport and NT Department of Housing projects.

ADAM BARKER
HEAD OF DIGITAL

A graduate of La Trobe University in Victoria, Adam (aka ‘barks’) joined Boab Design in early 2012 and was appointed digital creative after completing 3 years with award winning agency Sprout. Adam heads up all digital publishing activities, where he applies his natural ability for design and technical know how. He is currently working on Tourism NT, Power and Water Corporation and Off The Leash Magazine Apps.
